Lincoln healthcare providers need skilled staff. Lincoln people need stable careers. Prosper Lincoln’s Employment Skills goal of ensuring access to training and support for skilled in-demand jobs requires collaboration of the highest degree.
The Southeast Nebraska Healthcare Industry Partnership launched August 22 to address this need. Business leaders met in the morning and public partners in the afternoon. Sixty healthcare leaders gathered in Lincoln from Gage, Lancaster, Saline & Seward counties to discuss needs and opportunities.
NextGen Sector Partnerships consultants facilitated the event and centered on talent pipelines, awareness & recruitment, and care coordination & community engagement.
“Next steps? A city-wide plan to grow our own talent and healthcare organizations to best serve clients and families,” said Bryan Seck, Prosper Lincoln’s Employment Skills Developer and Director of Workforce Development for the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development. “Where can you get economic development & lift people from poverty with quality careers? A growing industry like healthcare!”
Champion employers include Beatrice Community Hospital, Bryan Health Systems, CHI Health St. Elizabeth and Tabitha Health Care Services. If your organization would like to participate, email Bryan at bseck@selectlincoln.org.
