Louder Than a Bomb Slam Poetry Video

On the morning of February 10, 2016, at Pinnacle Bank Arena, over 1,100 people attended the
Prosper Lincoln Summit. They came to hear about work accomplished and to learn how to get involved in helping Lift Lincoln Higher.

Thanks to The Nebraska Writers Collective, the event featured a slam poetry performance by Louder Than a Bomb Great Plains – Reagan Meyers, UNL; Foster Collins, Lincoln Southeast High School; Serenity Stokes, UNL and Jack Buchanan, Lincoln High School.

A snippet of the poem states, “At least for me, this city is like a factory. Everyone who lives here is another worker in an assembly line, and another hand to put a part in place, keep my heart in place, keep me focused on what matters and learn from their mistakes. This city is a factory with sidewalks for conveyor belts, pushing us when we can’t even stand, toward something that is better.”
